Directory of service improvement

Home » Resources » Resources » Directory of service improvement

Service improvement is about improving the quality of people’s lives. At it’s heart, are the lives of people who use health and social care services and the people who support them although it can also improve the working lives of people who provide health and social care.

The Care Services Improvement Partnership uses a wealth of tools and techniques to support health care professionals, people that use services and the people that support them as they work in partnerships to improve local services.

This directory brings all of these tools together in an easily accessible, comprehensive online resource. By bringing together information on a range of methodologies, exercises, icebreakers and energisers, it is intended for everyone. Supported by practical, real life examples, the directory will help answer common questions such as

Some of the tools described in the directory are very simple and easy to use. Others may seem more complex. CSIP’s Service Improvement Leads are here to help and may be contacted at your local regional office.

If you have any queries please contact Ruth Kent, the National Service Improvement Team's Knowledge Officer, who is responsible for maintaining the directory on ruth.kent@csip.org.uk

We welcome all feedback, and hope you find the resource useful.
