What MHIP did
When the programmes were first being set up, stakeholder analysis’ were undertaken to identify all the stakeholders to engage and to decide on the best ways of doing this.
Engagement then took place all the way through the programme and at all levels including, service users, carers, clinicians, social care, primary care, independent and voluntary agencies, senior managers and executives.
Methods used for engagement included presenting at meetings, newsletters/bulletins and holding events.
Indeed in the 'Preparation and launch phase' a dedicated event was held by each pilot site to launch the programme, and engage stakeholders, by involving them in identifying the benefits and drivers and establishing aims and outcomes of the programme.
