The National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE) and CSIP has facilitated the bringing together of expert practitioners from the Royal College of General Practitioners, the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the British Psychological Society to develop this guidance for front-line colleagues.

Briefing about the economic impact of Early Intervention Services (Nov 2006)

The key message is: Early Intervention services appear to have the potential to offer significant savings when compared to standard care.

Early Intervention in Psychosis: Report from a day seminar on research, policy and practice (Feb 2006)

Louis Appleby gave a historical account of the policy development for Early Intervention Services (EISs) for psychosis from the National Service Framework for Mental Health (Department of Health (DH) 1999), through the NHS Plan (DH 2000), up to the present date.
