This was the first meeting of the Eastern Region Network since the launch in Cambridge in November 2008. There was great enthusiasm for setting up and maintaining a Regional Perinatal & Infant Mental Health Network and for subsequent events to be themed.
This event and membership of the network was targeted at:
- Frontline practitioners, commissioners, service and strategic leads
- Those working in the fields of Perinatal care, Infant and Child Mental Health (CAMHS), Children & Families Social Work, Adult MH services, Drug & Alcohol services.
The overall aim was to;
- Update research and information

Meet regularly to network
The agenda for the day reflected the wishes of the network members, and covered;
- Updates of the National, Regional & political picture
- Sharing more examples of good practice across the range of services
- Discussions to address the challenges of providing holistic and integrated services
- Workforce development, training and skills issues
- Terms of Reference, membership, organization etc for the Network
