HASCAS are looking for four mental health service users/survivors to become Champions for one of their projects. They must have used direct payments or an individual budget to support recovery/management of their mental health, and who are passionate about the personalisation agenda. They must be willing to travel and able to promote personalisation in mental health.
This is part of the "Putting Us First" Project which is national, initiated by Mind and being managed by the Norah Fry Research Centre, part of Bristol University. Other partners are the Southampton Centre for Independent Living (SCIL).
The project aims to ensure that more people with mental health support needs receive a personalised approach to this. Various products have been developed, and a conference has already been held. This phase concentrates on setting up and supporting four projects in England that will help to push forward personalisation in mental health. This will be done by service user ‘Champions' who will fly the flag for personalisation in mental health.
