We are running a programme to provide support, information and advice to partners involved in ensuring patients and the public are given a stronger voice in influencing the delivery of health and social care.
Local Involvement Networks (LINks) are specifically set up to give citizens, people, a stronger voice in how their health and social care services are delivered. Run by local individuals and groups and independently supported - the role of LINks is to find out what people want, monitor local services and to use their powers to hold them to account. They were established as a result of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007.
Our role is to support the embedding of Patient and Public Empowerment on behalf of the Department of Health in the East of England.
