
Project Manager
Shivaun joined the NHS in 1980, specialising in midwifery. Her previous posts have included being the Pregnancy Lead for a Smoking Cessation Service which included workforce training and development countywide and as a specialist advisor resource for clinicians and Allied Health Professionals.
Shivaun spent 3 yrs as Specialist Midwife Teenage Pregnancy Lead involving the setting up, delivery and co ordination of full operational services locally and in collaboration with other agencies and service users. A major component of the role involved was working as a champion and advocate in order to contribute towards service improvement and quality of delivery within children and young people's services.
She established specialist Parenting Programmes and support groups which have been embedded within Children's Centres, and developed the Teenage Pregnancy Care pathway within maternity services, and pilot Antenatal Clinics within NHS Trust, which informed and contributed toward improved service delivery and uptake.
Shivaun is currently project managing 25 projects funded by the BIG Lottery Well-Being programme, enabling projects to pilot and test small step interventions that add value, contribute toward Local and National priorities and contribute in reducing health inequalities.
She is a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife and has PRINCE 2 Practitioner and MSP.
