There are various organisations in the Eastern Region that work to deliver health and social care services in the Eastern Region, with whom we work.
This includes:
- NHS East of England
This is responsible for the strategic leadership for the NHS in the East of England
- Go-East
The Government Office for the East of England
- 14 Primary Care Trusts
These are responsible for commissioning a comprehensive and equitable range of high quality responsive and efficient health services and directly providing high quality responsive and efficient services where this gives best value.
- Mental Health Trusts
These provide health and social care services for people with mental health problems.
- Foundation Trusts
These provide health and social services, tailored to the needs of the local population and are run by local managers, staff and members of the public rather than having state control.
- Local Authorities i.e. Unitary Authorities, County Councils and District and Borough Councils
These provide a range of services including social services, housing, education, planning and environmental health.
- Other Statutory and Voluntary Organisations.
